This is so special for me, that I want to share it with the world! 18 April 2011, my brother got married at Barra Lodge in Mozambique. I had the privilege to shoot Gina & Arno's wedding. (But watch this space for all the wedding pictures!)
Just after the ceremony I unfortunately stepped into a wooden peck.
I looked down, blood and an open deep gaping wound was underneath my right foot. Thanks to the quick thinking and help from Nicolae, we cleaned it, sterry striped it and strapped it and off I went...to shoot the couple.
I am reading a book by Don Gosset, The Power of your Words, and I remember as I felt the pain shooting from my foot every time I try to walk, I talked to God. "God, you promise me in your Word that You will give me supernatural help ("My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth
", Psalm 121:2)".
When we got to the reception, I was in a lot of pain. Gina's Dad told me: "When ever you bring a wound to the sea, it will heal, but don't get a wound at the sea, it never heals." I was devistated! I wanted to start training for my 10km sub 60 as soon as I got back.
I left the reception early. When I was alone, I laid my hands on my foot and prayed to God. Mark 16:18 "I lay my hands on the sick and they shall recover" .
I took God by his Word and the power He give me and I am proud to say that my Father kept his promise! Two weeks later and my foot is healed!
The power is in your confession and your believe in your confession, God will not let you down.
